How and why did you start?
I live in Melita Manitoba. A small town in the southwest corner of manitoba. The reason I started motocross is because there have always been a couple local Pro's that raced, I watched them a few times and I wanted to try it. I saved up my money and bought a bike and it all went from there. I practiced for a while, learned from the guys that knew how to ride, and progressed very fast from there. I placed second overall in my very first begginner race in 2003. I was told not to expect to do well in my first ever race, so that really made me confident in myself for getting better.

What are your competitive advantages?
Some of my competative advantages are that I race smart. I can plan passes bfore they happen, and know where I am faster than other guys on certain tracks. Another one is that I am not scared to jump obstacles that other people aren't jumping.

What are you career highlights?
Some of my career highlights are that I got 2nd overall at my first ever race. I went 1-1 in my first ever Intermediate race. I got 2nd over in the spring and fall series and took the overall Intermediate championship in Manitoba. I am the 2005 125 Junior Winnipeg arenacross champion and 2006 125 Intermediate Winnipeg arenacross champion. Holshot my very first 125 Pro moto, and finished second to Earl Riemer. I competed, and qualified in all four of the western canadian nationals in 2007 with my best finishes in Naniamo with two 22nd place finishes. I raced the 2008 lethbridge arenacross, I qualified fifth in both my AX2 qualifiers and finished 8th in the main, and crashed out of the second main.

What's in store for the future?
I am making the move to 125 Pro in 2007. My goal is to run top ten consistantly and work my way up from there for my first year. I am getting a new bike, and I am looking for sponsors to help me along the way. I am also stepping up my training routine this year. I am in the elite program at Fredricks Performance Centre. This program is the best motocross based training regemend in canada hands down. The improvements I am making are unbelivable. I had my motor sent to PR2 racing, and will have a good bike for the western nationals this year. I am putting all this effort into racing this year so there are no excuses.

Why is sponsorship important to you?
Sponsorship is very important to me because it is very difficult to compete seriously in this sport out of my own pocket. Bikes and parts are very expensive and get damaged or broken on a regular basis. Support is very helpful, because it is very hard to compete on a stock bike in the pro class these days.

What are you going to provide your sponsors?
I would provide my sponsors with the most exposure I could. I have a lot of friends around the pits, and lots of room on the side of my race trailer for decals of any kind.

What inspires you ?
The thing that inspires me to race is the feeling of winning and doing well. Motocross is an individual sport, so it is up to you to perform and no one else. Other than bike problems it is all up to you if you make a mistake or not.

What is your style?
I would say I have a smooth style. I am a really good sand rider, my home track is a sand track. I am also a fan of whoops, I am known for my whoop speed in Manitoba.

Give us some information about yourself, friends and family.
I am from a family of five. I have two younger brothers that both race. I live on a grain/cattle farm near Melita Mb. Feed around 700 head of cattle, and farm around 3000 acres of land. I work as an Industrial welder at Wilkinson Trailers.

What is your training regiment like?
I started getting personal trained in january. This Profile 3A workout from FPC(Fredrickson Performance Centre) is the toughest program you will see. There are 6 stages to this program in which I will be tested for bodyfat% and a V02 test at the end of each month. We started out with muscle training to build a base of strength , and then move on to higher reps and lower weight along with sprints inbetween to maximize my performance on the bike. We have it set so that I peak right at the start of the season so that I know what I have to maintain through the season.
