How and why did you start?
My mother had passed down her mint condition 1972 Honda Mini trail that was hers while she was growing up and my brother and I rode that for fun. I was told I couldn't get a bike until I was 13 (obviously trying to discourage my dream of getting a bike at that time). I saved my money and the day I turned thirteen I bought my first bike... the rest is history!

What are your competitive advantages?
very reputable - Being in my position with Racer X Canada, I have worked hard to better motocross in Canada and have earned the respect of many peers and Industry staff.

Very goal oriented - attaining personal goals I have set for myself is my number one priority. Whether it be earning my college degree, qualifying for a professional event or helping Racer X Canada become the leading publication in Canadian motocross.

Very committed - I commit 110% to every goal I set for myself; failure is not a word that I use in my vocabulary. I often repeat this sentence when things become difficult, "there is no such thing has being half committed. You either do it or you don’t"

What are you career highlights?
- In 2005 I qualified for my first professional event as an Amateur racer. Moncton, New Brunswick.
- 2005 Eastern Ontario Youth (ages 17-25) Champion
- 2003 Eastern Ontario 125cc Junior Champion
- 2002 Eastern Ontario Grand Prix Junior Champion
- 2000 Eastern Ontario Supermini Champion

What's in store for the future?
My long term plan is to continue actively racing motocross with the goal of reaching the professional level. I also plan to continue to provide private riding lessons to young riders to help better their skills on and off the track.

Why is sponsorship important to you?
Your sponsorship is important to me because I have invested not only the last 12 years of my life but every dollar I earned into this sport. I have supported myself completely since the beginning, with a little financial support from my parents. The cost of competing at this level is very expensive with little to no return sometimes. One of my goals is to help lower my expenses for racing and attaining your sponsorship will help me do so.

What are you going to provide your sponsors?
I will provide my supporters with the utmost professionalism at all times, on and off the track. I will also provide them with a very reputable spokes person to promote their product to other racers. They will be able to rely on me for branding of their logo and marketing of their product and website through sticker placement on my equipment, bike, trailer as well as a hyperlink and logo on my personal website, www.JayMooreMX.com

What inspires you ?
I would say it's more "who" inspires me; injured riders like James Marshall and Ernesto Fonseca inspire me a great deal. They too were working to accomplish some of the same goals I had but those dreams were taken away from them due to serious injuries. Seeing the motivation and determination they have shown throughout their ordeals is truly inspiring. They posses the "never quit" and positive attitudes everyone should portray. Every day I thank the lord for allowing me to do something not many people can and for that I am inspired to attain the goals I have set forth.

Give us some information about yourself, friends and family.
I graduated college with an Advertising & Marketing Communications diploma through Ontario's leading marketing program at St. Lawrence College two years ago. I have been employed with Racer X Canada for the last three years and that has been my main focus. This job allows me to network with great people and travel the country at the same time.

What is your training regiment like?
My training consists of 3 days of cardio per week, typically a 10km run. I spend 2-3 days a week weight training my upper-body and 1 day a week training my lower body. The final day is a rest day. I also schedule in 1 hour a week of mental and visualization training which is something I recently added to my program.
